You can make sure your package or pallet arrives safely and on time by following a few simple steps:
Courier Shipping
- It is ideal to ensure every item is packaged in a rigid corrugate box, free from defects and sealed shut with strong packing tape.
- Remove any labels or markings from previous shipments that are no longer applicable.
- Use a box suitable in size that will allow for sufficient cushioning material inside but not so large that you incur excessive shipping charges.
- Avoid using string, straps, paper or plastic over-wrap on the outside of your package.
- Use a single address label that has complete delivery and return information on each box.
- Each box must have it's own shipping label with bar code, which can be printed from the website.
Pallet (LTL) Shipping
- Begin with a solid wood or plastic pallet that can support the weight of your shipment.
- Make sure pallet is free from damage, defects and exposed nails or other materials that might damage boxes, equipment or harm handlers.
- Stack boxes onto the pallet building a sturdy foundation free from overlap on the pallet. Heaviest items should be on the bottom.
- When available, use plastic or metal strapping to secure to pallet.
- Use strong stretch wrap around the outside of all boxes to secure to pallet and keep boxes from shifting or getting lost from your shipment.
- Label each pallet with an address label and telephone numbers for both the shipper and consignee.
